Jack Dorsey’s Square Cash App fourth quarter Bitcoin revenue jumps to $52 million

Jack Dorsey is the co-founder of Twitter, a social media giant, as well as financial services firm, Square. The fintech startup had more Bitcoin revenue in its fourth quarter of 2018 since it began supporting cryptocurrency.

The startup released its fourth-quarter earnings this week which showed that it had Bitcoin sales of $52 million and has beaten its third-quarter sales of $43 million which is way ahead than is second-quarter earnings of $37 million.

Users of the application have been able to buy and hold Bitcoin since 2018. Mr. Dorsey also hinted that there would be more implementation of cryptocurrency in the application.

Earlier this month Dorsey was very optimistic about the Bitcoin Lightning Network and the possibilities it can have with the application.

At press time, Bitcoin is priced at $3,858.49 which is down by 0.08% in the last 24 hours as per the data from Coinmarketcap.
